Bearded Dragons!

My goldfish was boring, I want a new pet! Not a cat, not a bird, not a tarantula not even a flying rhino. A lizard! Yes, it did take along time for my parents to agree we can have one but eventually, they did.
So, we drove to the pet store and when we got there, the pet store guy showed us the bearded dragons; they were big, scaly and had a bunch of mini scale spikes that made it look fierce but cute in a weird way. But we weren’t buying adult beardies, we were going for the little baby ones. They were very small and they all looked energetic, but me and my sister chose a specific one, It was standing with its belly pressed on the window and it was staring at us, so we knew we had to get it. Once we bought it, we brought to the counter in a small box and off we went!
I don’t know what it was doing in the box but it was making lots of scratchy, itchy, itch noises. We named him spikes because he had pointy scales all over him. We stuck it in its cage and it lived lonely and remained quiet for a year and a half but once I moved to British Columbia, we bought a new one! It was smaller then the one my family first bought, but this one was more energetic and can do some kind of a weird leaping thing! But amazingly, it was only a year and a half old and it was way bigger then my first one! We called him cocoa because we agreed if we get a new one, we would call him that. Well, I’m glad that spikes have another lizard friend to play around with and I hope they live happily together! The picture up there… is a bearded dragon but not mine. I wanted to take a picture of mine but I didn’t have time too.

Hey Austin! You know how you told me that a 20 gallon tank would be good for 1 bearded dragon? Well the lady at the store said I should get a 40 gallon and with the lighting a 10.0 UVB and 100 wat heat bulb would be better. But thanks for the addvice bro!!
